Kirsten and Christopher Shockey are co-authors of the new book The Big Book of Cidermaking: Expert Techniques for Fermenting and Flavoring Your Favorite Hard Cider

Together they will discuss the phases of fermentation, various styles of cidermaking, as well as the range of possible ingredients and flavor profiles.

The Shockeys have also co-written other bestselling titles -- Fermented Vegetables; Fiery Ferments; and Miso, Tempeh, Natto & Other Tasty Ferments -- that came from their desires to both help people eat in new ways, both for the health of themselves and the planet and to push these culinary arts to new flavors. Kirsten is also a member of TFA's Advisory Board.
